LEBARAN FROM CHRISTCHURCH: A BROTHERHOOD...

Clever and civilized people will not stand in my hometown

This is the third time for me Lebaran at one end of the world, Christchurch. As usual, the Indonesian community organizing Lebaran together simply in the second largest city in New Zealand this. Especially after the day Saturday September 4, yesterday, Christchurch was hit by an earthquake measuring 1.7 Richter which could paralyze the city. Although up to this Eid SR 4-5 magnitude earthquake hit the city still, Alhamdulillah simple Lebaran celebrations will be conducted.

Imam Syafe'i above advice really describe the situation that exists among us here, the nomads from Indonesia.
Despite its status, whether as a student studying or as professionals who make a living, we are all nomads. Leave your beloved homeland, across the continent of Australia, came to Christchurch to reach what we aspire. The status of foreigners was making the Indonesian community in Christchurch is close to each other without discriminating background, social status, ethnic or religious. We are all united under the flag of Indonesia.

Today, diperayaan Lebaran 2010 all gathered to greet the day rejoice this triumph. After the Muslims perform Eid prayers at the Masjid Annur, Hagley Park, together we celebrate Eid misconstrued one Indonesian citizen homes. All the people of Indonesia came to attend, bersilaturrahmi celebrate the natural, whether it is Muslim or non-Muslims all rejoice. The atmosphere is very strong familial and kinship felt, eliminating all long for home, eliminate the sadness of being far from relatives and friends taulan.

Correct what was said by Imam Syafe'i, that there will be a replacement relatives and friends. Not in the sense that the relatives and friends at home will be memorable but more and more relatives who would be found dirantau. Silaturrahmi Beautiful, beautiful fraternity, as beautiful as the coming of the day nan Fitri .. victory in the final days of Ramadan ..
