Batik Fashion Show, Auckland, 24 April 2008

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia organized a Batik Fashion Show as follows:
The event, part of the commemoration of the Golden anniversary of diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and New Zealand, was attended by Members of Parliament (Hon. Chris Carter MP and Hon. Pansy Wong MP), several consuls in Auckland, The Indonesian Ambassador Mr. HE Amris Hassan and Mrs Afi Shamara, fashion industry players of NZ and the Indonesian Community Leaders in Auckland.

There was an auction for one of the batik produced by the Indonesian Designer leading the fashion show Mr Adji Notonegoro where the result of NZ$ 1,500 was donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation of NZ.
